The Owner's Goal

The yacht’s existing air-conditioning equipment had become noisy, inefficient and increasingly unreliable.

Cooling performance varied between cabins, some areas took too long to reach a comfortable temperature and the older units required frequent attention. The owners wanted a dependable system that would cool the yacht effectively without excessive noise or power consumption.

02

The Challenges

Uneven Cooling

The existing system did not distribute cool air evenly throughout the yacht

Ageing Equipment

Several units and associated components were nearing the end of their serviceable life

Existing Ducting

The new equipment needed to work with the yacht’s existing layout while improving airflow and maintaining a discreet installation.

03

Our Solution

We reviewed the cooling requirements for each cabin and assessed the existing units, seawater circulation, electrical supply and ducting.

CTM Marine air-conditioning equipment was selected to provide suitable capacity for the yacht’s accommodation areas. The installation included improvements to airflow, seawater circulation and control positioning.

Each zone was tested individually and as part of the complete system to confirm effective cooling and reliable operation.
